Last Night at 6:34 PM, the West Whiteland Fire Company and mutual aid companies were dispatched to the 200 block of Namar Ave for a reported house fire. Upon arrival, crews found fire that originated in the basement and had spread to the attic. Due to the construction of the home, the fire was able to run a void space between the new and the old roof. Fire attack and ventilation crews worked simultaneously to expose and extinguish the fire. Crews operated for approximately 3 hours performing fire attack, ventilation, and overhaul. Thank you to our mutual aid companies: Station 47 (Lionville Fire Company), Station 5 (East Whiteland Fire Company), Station 56 (Goshen Fire Company), Station 51 (First West Chester Fire Co., Engine Co. 51), Station 49 (East Brandywine Fire Company, Station 46 (Minquas Fire Company No. 2), and Station 87 (Uwchlan Ambulance Corps).
