The West Whiteland Fire Company sadly announces the passing of Active Life Member Mark Miller.

Mark became a member in 1976. Though he stepped back to focus on his family and dedicate more time to his role with the East Goshen Township – Mark never ventured far and returned as an active member in 2005. Through the years Mark held every position up to and including Assistant Chief and Chief Engineer. Most recently he served as Vice President until the time of his passing.

Mark served West Whiteland for 34 years, His value to the company and community was immense – he led the recent expansion project that brought three additional garage bays into service.

Beyond the firehouse, Mark served as the Director of Public Works for East Goshen Township. With a 45-year tenure, his vision and leadership shaped the department into what it is today.

To many of us, Mark was more than a fellow firefighter – he was a leader, mentor, and trusted friend. His influence will be felt for years to come.

Above all, he was a devoted husband to his wife, Dot, and a proud father to Kevin and Steven.

We are forever grateful for everything Mark contributed to the West Whiteland Fire Company and the community, we will continue to serve as we know he would.

Please keep the Miller family and our members in your thoughts. We will sorely miss his presence and guidance.
