| The members of the West Whiteland Fire Company would like to express our deepest gratitude to the many organizations, agencies, and individuals who stood beside us following the sudden passing of our distinguished member, George “Bud” Turner. The outpouring of support we received during this difficult time was both humbling and inspiring. Because of your generosity, compassion, and commitment to the emergency services family, our members were able to focus on honoring Chief Turner’s life and supporting one another. We extend our sincere thanks to East Brandywine Fire Company for washing our apparatus and providing dinner; Lionville Fire Company for their support and participation in the ceremonial arch; Glenmoore Fire Company and Valley Forge Fire Company for providing operational coverage; Honeybrook Fire Company for participating in a ceremonial arch; Good Fellowship Ambulance for assisting with cleaning and providing dinner; Minquas Fire & EMS for operational coverage; West Whiteland Police Department for providing dinner and funeral escort services; Downingtown Police Department, Upper Uwchlan Police Department, and West Brandywine Police Department for their escort services; West Goshen Police Department for their escort and honor guard participation; and Goshen Fire Company for their participation in the ceremonial arch. We are also deeply grateful to the Chester County Hero Fund and the Chester County Department of Emergency Services for their unwavering support and generous contributions to the Turner family. Our sincere appreciation extends to the Chester County Fire Chiefs Association for their constant support throughout this difficult period. We would also like to thank Wegmans of Downingtown for their generous donation of food. The fire service, public safety community, and Chester County as a whole demonstrated what it truly means to be a family. Your kindness, professionalism, and willingness to step forward in our time of need will never be forgotten. On behalf of our officers, members, and the Turner family, thank you for your support, friendship, and service. We are forever grateful. |
