Last night (7/6/20) for our weekly training night, Members of the West Whiteland Fire Company participated in vehicle fire training. Crews did multiple evolutions involving pulling lines, securing the vehicle, mitigating hazards, and safe extinguishment of the vehicle. While training, members of the company responded to 3 calls. The first call was to assist station 46 ( Minquas Fire Company) for a smoke investigation inside. Crews were returned before arrival as units located the source and isolated it. The second call was for an auto accident with entrapment on route 100 northbound. Chief 6 arrived on location and confirmed entrapment in one vehicle. Engine 6-1, Engine 6-2, Rescue 6, and Ladder 6, all arrived, secured the vehicle, and removed two doors and the B Post of the vehicle to extricate both patients. While clearing from this incident , units responded to the area of the commons at Oakland’s for a reported transformer on fire. |
