At 4:42 PM, the West Whiteland Fire Company and mutual aid companies were dispatched to the 100 block of E Boot Road for a reported house fire. Engine 6-1, Ladder 6, Rescue 6, Brush 6, Squad 6 and Chief 6 made the response. Upon arrival, units found smoke and fire showing from the structure. Crews from Engine 6-1 and Ladder 56 stretched hand lines and extinguished the fire. Units remained on scene for an extended time performing overhaul and an investigation.
